Number of Brevs in a 37 gallon?

The dimensions are 30"L (front length) 24"H (tall) and 12"W (deep)

I can keep 4 chameleons in this tank without a problem right? If so,
is this enclosure large enough for 2.2, or will I have to do 1.3?

Is it worth the extra money to get a spectrum rather than the common bearded pygmy?

Also, How often are females gravid per year, or will it varry? I plan on eventually hatching 1-2 clutches just for some experience, and putting those in another tank, but after that I wont really have room for any more chameleons until we get a house.

I would say 1.3, if you had two males they could fight

1.3 it is!

I was told I can keep 2.2 if the tank was big enough, so I was not sure.

Where do I get hydrotron (sp) the little pebbles of clay for drainage? Nurserys?

LLL Reptile, Amazon. You might be able to find it at a pet store.

Really? What should I do if I cant keep the eggs, is it taboo to throw them away or not let them hatch? I would feel really bad but I really cant afford more chameleons after these, no more room in my apartment either.

I want to hatch 1-2 clutches possibly, just for the experience, and ill get a new tank for those guys and everything, but I think after that I will be all chameleon'd out until I get a house, which should be by september, and then I am getting some Panthers!

It started with 1, and now I want them all!!!

That is not a bad price. I will look for it locally first of course, but at least now I will know where to get it if needed.

So for the layer of coal that is needed, do I just get it for the grill and grind it up, did I read that right?!

If you do end up with more brevs than you can handle, I'm sure there are plenty on here that would take some CB brevs off your hands. CBs are almost impossible to find.

I know you're kidding.

I think the charcoal needs to be the kind you would use in an aquarium filter.
