Nobody to small

This is Ollie, I rescued him from a pet store. I'm very pleased to announce he made it through the night and hunted for extra small crickets and fruit flies all morning. Drank off some Plants and he is basking. He is a green anole. I'm setting him free when he is better. This is for everyone who thinks rescues are pointless time consuming and aid pet stores. I'm aiding no one but this lil guy

Poor thing! I wish the best that he makes a full recovery! I appreciate what you are doing, its very noble and sets a good example! Wish more people would do this.

Thank you I wish more people would too. I wish people would realize that big pet store chains Will Not stop getting animals like this and chams. We could sit by and watch or like me choose to help

Update - near the end

Well unfortunately Ollie is not doing as well as I thought. This does happen especially with rescues. Something you just have to expect that they might be too far gone when you get them. He ate 3 small crickets yesterday and drank water for me like he has done for the last few days. I've been keeping him on my screened in porch where he hunts small ants and moths and has access to sun and shade. He loves the space and he is safe from predators.
This morning though I found Ollie curled up under a potted plant. He is near death. He drank a lil water for me after I picked him up and is basking now again. Just too soon to say if he will search out another quiet place to go to sleep forever. He is just too old to have been mistreated the way he was. At least i tried to give him a better last few days then in the glass tank at the pet store I will not deny though he crept into my heart and he will be dearly missed.
