Night time question

My new boy seems to retire early for the night 7 last night, 6:30 tonight. Should I leave his lights on for a bit so they always go out at a consistant time (say if on a timer), or should I just turn them off when I find he's gone to bed? I just worry that it will get too cool, but I guess he knows what he's doing going to bed so early. It gets down to about 65-68F at night. I make sure the cage is dry before he goes to bed.

Also, should I leave the dripper on all night? Or turn it off? Its away from his "bed" so won't drip and splash him at all. Its easier if I leave it on as I've *finally* got it going at a drip rate I'm happy with, but can dump the water each evening if I should make it drip free at night.

Mine seems to do it also; the lights on schedule is 6 am - 6pm
The best thing you should do is to emulate the actual sun light period.
Is your cham a veiled? A veiled can easily withstand that temp drop.

I would say turn it off. At night, humidity rise significantly. water dripping might increase it even further. Plus, it's a bit messy and hectic to leave it on.

thanks, yes sorry, its a veiled. I have the timer set for 8 and 8 right now...he slept in this morning, I'm not sure if this will be normal for him or not. With the transport and everythign getting him here, I'm sure he's not quite himself yet. I'll adjust as I find out his natural routine.

Thanks about the dripper as well. I'll dump the water at night.
