New skin, enhanced colour!

Monty finally started his shed yesterday - his last one was back at the end of March. He is showing some really lovely yellows greens and even a vibrant blue under his chin! He will be one year old on 3rd Sept and he will now have new skin for his first birthday photos!

Beautiful! I hope my Reggie gets that color green!

By the way, do Jackson's (montaine) chameleons shed less often due to their smaller size? I have had my little guy (4 months) for about 4 weeks and no shed yet...

He looks great! I can't believe it was that long ago that he shed! Love the colors! :)
Jacksons d everything a lot slower than Veileds or Panthers, even shedding! When he was tiny he shed every 6 weeks or so compared to a baby Veiled that usually sheds every month. It's been a long wait, but so worth it to see his brighter colours emerging!

Gorgeous man! I see why he's so special to you .:)
He is! I love him to bits! I got him as a tiny 7 week old brown scrap weighing just 2g! Back then, the goal was to get him past the critical 4-5 month age where things can happen out of the blue. I can't believe we have made it to a year old! He is the friendliest little man ever - he has never hissed or gaped at me either. :D

As I said above, I got Monty at 7 weeks old. He shed at about 8 weeks and then every 6 weeks or so, then nothing since March. There was a period of a good few weeks around that time when he didn't gain any weight either.
