New Member, Proud Owner, Big thank you!

Hi Guys,

I registered a while back, but never got round to posting onto the forum. We've been the proud caretakers of our female veiled for about a year now, and this forum has been a god send as she was our first chameleon. Just wanted to say thank you in general for all the advice and guidance that has been posted here, and share a picture of our girl.

I will get some more pictures up once I've moved them across to my PC, the only other pic I've got to hand is this one.

She is doing really great, we had one or two bumps along the way and a scary moment when she became egg bound but thanks to an amazing vet with a real passion for reptiles and chameleons she underwent surgery and is now stronger than ever.

I have to say, we are insanely paranoid about her and constantly reading to make sure nothing is missed. It feels like a learning curve that never ends, but we wouldn't have her any other way.

She eats and drinks from our hands, and will wait at the viv doors at night when I get home from work sometimes and come out for a little walk. She also goes wild when she see's we brought home silk worms for her. If it hadn't been for this forum, we would have probably had expectations about handling and personality but we let her pick what she wants to do and she clearly demonstrates when she is annoyed. This places has been a great resource, and I've made sure to share it with anyone else who has been interested in keeping a chameleon of their own.

She is adorable! I LOVE that second picture, her face is priceless!
