New Member, Hello
Hello everyone. My name is Miguel and we just purchased a panther chameleon from the San Jose reptile show this past Saturday. I have been doing a lot of research and was told about this forum. I must say the information on here is so useful and everyone's feed back is great.

My panther is about 14 months old and he so very active. I have him in a 16x16x32. I made him a fake tree with lots of branches and sticks and from looking online at others enclosures I think I did we'll. I will include some photos and wanted some feed back I'd we could.

I have a basking area around 85 and bottom temp gets to about 70.

I also have the monsoon mister and the repti fogger.

Hope to hear some feed back of my cage and animal.

Thank you image.jpg

Welcome Miguel! You came to the right place, the forums have everything you will ever need.

Please do post some pictures of your setup and of your new panther! Sounds like you have a great start with everything but I do have a concern. The cage you mentioned is going to be too small for a male panther. I wouldn't even recommend that size for an adult female so I would highly recommend looking into getting him a larger cage as soon as possible.

Very nice :) As above, the cage will end up being too small for an adult Panther. I believe a 18x18x48 is the right size? I could be wrong.

Welcome! I am a newer owner also, and everyone here is very helpful. Don't be afraid to post any questions. You're sure to get some good advice!

The standard size for adult Panthers and Veilds is 24 X 24 X48. To the new member...Welcome to the forums! Glad you found us!!! Who did you purchase your chameleon from and do you have any pictures?

Thanks, I thought that seemed a bit small, but I may have gotten that data from somewhere random haha

I have a 36x24x48...

Thank you guys for your help so far. I did just buy a 24x24x48 zoomed repti breeze and its so much nicer and he has so much more room. It's 11:48pm here where I am pooped lol. I will take some photos and post tomorrow. Please any feed back would be great. Thank you so far.

Very nice setup and Cham. I'm going to attend the sac reptile expo in hopes for some quality deals on equipment.

Was there quite a bit of chameleons at the SJ expo?

New Cham owner

Greetings! I recently recently was given an, approximately, 5 month Carpet chameleon. This is my first chameleon ever. I have wanted one for a very very long time and now that I have him I wish I would have gotten one sooner. There are pictures of him and his enclosure in my album. He is adjusting well, eating, exploring, using the bathroom. He's fallen twice off of unsteady leaves which has me a littl concerned. I'm sure I could use more vines or sticks in there. I watch him a lot, but I don't see him drink a lot. I do see the white at the end of his stool, so I assume he is drinking some.

I have found this website very informative and helpful. It is a wonderful place to connect and share!

yes so much information on here its amazing. bobcochran sold me my panther at the san Jose show and we are very happy with him. we started off with fake plants and I noticed the humidity was always low and when I would mist the cage water would evaporate way to fast . I just re did his cage while I had in the shower and I am really happy. I'm off tomorrow and will take some photos of him. he is so friendly also. I want to thank bobcochran, so knowledgeable. thank you bob.
