New from Louisiana!

Hello all! I have had my chameleon for about a month now and so far he seems very healthy and strong. I assume he is a male based on the signs I was able to match with from articles on the internet. He is very active and he has a lot of room to move and grow in his current tank. He also changes colors very often, sometimes trying to mimic my cheetah print lamp shade when he walks by it. But mostly he stays on the bright side, I guess a reflection of his mood?

I hope someone is able to tell me if he looks healthy.
I already looked at the poop thread and his poop looks normal.
He doesn't have any kind of gammy substance on his eyes nor nostrils.
He just shed skin two days ago and a quick rate. He had enough branches to brush against.

I keep his tank clean, never leaving poop in there.
I feed him crickets and meal worms dusted with "reptivite", and I swear he has about tripled in size since I have had him.
When I open his tank to either mist, give him food, or to clean out his poop he always comes for me. He isn't shy at all!

Thank you for having me, and according to the link just supplied I'm doing everything right! It has definitely been a wonderful learning experience with my little guy! Also his name is 007!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your little guy. Reptivite should only be used once or twice a month. You need three kinds of supplements, calcium without d3, to be used at just about every feeding at his age, calcium with d3 to be used twice a month and a multivitamin to be used once or twice a month. Does your Reptivite have d3 in it? If it does then the only other supplement you need is the calcium without D3. I have a little blog that I'll attach for you below. It's the info that I passed out to the new keepers that I sent my babies too. :) That's also an excellent care sheet that Brad linked you above. If fact that's my boy Luie pictured.

I'm curious though, is a white/yellowish streak down the side normal for some veiled chameleon patterns?

Okay good, well he doesn't turn dark very often. I don't handle him unless I'm misting his tank and he gets curious and comes toward me. Then I'm very cautious as to how I move. He is a bright green with a blueish hue right now. I'll have to post the very first picture I had of him and of him now.

Okay, so the first pictures I uploaded are from a few days ago, this picture is of 007 the day I got him.
