These are a couple photo's from today of a new Calumma who is going to be living in the greenhouse. This chameleon is a sub adult male Calumma brevicorne. This species is one of the Madagascar Elephant Eared Chameleons.

Jeremy how big is your C. brevicorne? Not sure what size a subadult would be. What size will he be full grown?

Tell Rhino I said hello.:)

Hey Laurie

I shall say Hi to Rhino"s" for you.

My Calumma brevicorne is only a sub adult and is about the size of a medium sized Panther Chameleon Furcifer pardalis. I would say off the top of my head the adult males I have seen are in the range of 5-7 inches from Snout-Vent length and much longer with the tail. As far as looks go they are not the same type of chameleon as a Furcifer pardalis. They are much more cryptic in color, have a unique type of tail, and the lobes are spectacular. I already think they are already one of the neatest species I have kept.

Even though I think all chameleons are great:D.
