Never give a fruit beetle grub to a hedgehog...

This is Pickles annointing himself with the insides of a fruit beetle grub...I was hoping he would eat it!

The inevitable bath...

Those images are very disturbing! It looks like you have a rat straight out of Lucifer's dungeon! Did he at least eat the grub??

trust me, he is straight out Lucifer's dungeon! He didn't eat, he adorned it as an offering to the devil. The wild hedgehogs in the garden are nicer than Pickles

Hmmmm....Pickles doesn't look like the nice, cute little brown hedgehogs we have here in Canada...and I think ours eat chocolate, not bug guts!!

It's cute when he does it just cos something smells funny- he froths at the mouths & starts licking his spines lol

I'm trying to think of an example of him being nice, but I haven't got one lol. I had to bath him the other week & he bit me & wouldn't let go. I had to prize his jaws open! I also have to soak his exercise wheel in a bucket of water every day cos he poops on it & stomps it in.

at my last houseparty one of the guests ate this grub. I nearly puked just from seeing that. He ate loads of other bugs, but this one was by far the most disgusting. He said it tasted like mud

I can believe that. They're horrible bugs! Makes me glad the chameleons refused to eat them. The only one who liked them was my tree frog but he'd eat me if he had the chance.

If only it were that easy for us to send our critters between us.

I almost got two hedgehogs but decided for rats instead. If i would have had a hedgehog i would feed him chilidogs like Sonic
