Need help keeping humidity up at night

I have (2) 1 week old Jackson's chameleons. There are setup in a Exo-terra 18x18x18. Dripper and homemade fogger. I have repti sun 5.0 and a 25 watt clear house bulb for basking. Overall temp in enclosure is 74. Basking is 83. Humidity is kept between 45-70.

My problem is that at night my humidity drops to 40 because I do not run my homemade fogger at night. Read it wasn't good to keep it on at night. But also read that humidity at night should be around 80.

Any help on this subject would be helpful. Thanks

I'm not an expert with chams, so please don't do exactly as I say! But I currently have a Panther & I don't do anything to keep the humidity up at night. I don't spray/mist him gone 5:30pm because any extra moisture in there any later than that won't have evaporated before lights out, which will lead to a chilly night for the little guy. The only thing doing anything for the humidity 24/7 is the live plants, so I suggest investing in one or two safe live plants & see how that helps (if you don't already have some) :)

Hope that's shed some light on your problem :)

If you run the fogger on a timer at night you should be ok. Have it come on for 30 minutes every few hours and see how that works. Adjust the timer until you achieve your desired humidity.
