Need help finding an Oregon cham a good home

Hi I'm trying to find a good home for a cham somewhere close to Eugene OR.

He's a Jackson Chameleon, his name is Dexter and he's about 3 months old. We just took him to the vet 2 days ago and he is in really good health. He's really active, dose like to just sit under the heat lamp and do nothing a lot but he's always awake and fully alert during the day. He's very strong and has really good color. He was having a problem eating but that was because the crickets we had were to big, and we were having problems finding the right size.

The reason I'm trying to find him a home is because my ex bought him because he wanted a cool pet and for some reason everybody that he talked to said it really wasn't hard to take care of a cham. So he bought one with out knowing anything about them. I've been the one taking care of it and he just dose what I tell him needs to be done, he has no plans on taking time to read and learn any more himself, unless maybe its really sick and he has to (but probably not because it would be almost dead before he realized something was wrong). In short I'm refusing to let him keep it, and realistically I know I don't have the recourses or the space to take care of him myself.

I would like to find someone who has experience with chams. That someone will be willing to put in the time and effort it takes to care for a new pet, also has the space and funds to keep him. Preferably they would have other cham's, reptiles, or at least someone who can vouch for them and pics of past pets. I would hate to move him from one bad home to another, I just want to make sure that he'll have a good home.

My first choice would be finding him a good home, but if anyone knows about any organizations that will take him in and find him a good home I would love to hear about them. I have found a few that I'll start getting in touch with but if anyone has first hand experience and could suggest a good place or just advise which one's to stay away from that would be amazingly helpful.

I would like to find a good place as soon as possible any and all help is appreciated.

I am willing to take him with the enclosure and all of the supplies if you can send him out to. South Dakota thtvwould be great just PM on here ik my stuff on them since I already own veileds and I have a book on jacksons if you want to send him to me just PM I am very willing to take him!!!!! Just send pics of him his enclosure lights and everything else! And I also do have time for this animal I'm still in high school so I'm willing to take any chameleon in help! Thanks -ChameleonRave! :)

Just make sure you have the proper temperature drops at night for a jackson Rave! :) This is (to me) the hardest part in having a jacksonii instead of a Pardalis or Calyptratus. :)

Sending a chameleon and its cage out to South Dakota will be more trouble than it's worth - hence the "Hi I'm trying to find a good home for a cham somewhere close to Eugene OR."

No offense Zach but you came to me wanting help and when i gave you help you really didnt listen. You just got your veiled. Work on your veiled before getting another chameleon. You had him in a glass cage. Whether you changed that or not idk.

If you cannot find a home close to you I will pay for shipping and house him properly. I have kept a few different types of Jacksons Chameleons and each one has thrived. I am sure you will find a nice home close to you but if you can't I am here if you need me ;)

@Stefan I just recently got a new screen cage I would post pics but I'm on my iPod and I am getting my laptop worked on... I have gotten more plants so it's not fair for you to assume things. And I didn't see the Eugene, Oregon part lol. @Stefan also I did rescue a female that was a year old and t wasn't fed or anything so I got. The proper plants setup and more variety of food for my hams.

I live in Washington so I'm fairly close to you. Pm so we can talk if you'd like. I currently have a female Jacksons chameleon so this would be a great addition!
