My Veiled loves male crickets

I know this sounds funny but my female veiled "natasha" loves to seek out the chirpers that are just singing away oblivious to there impending doom. I dont know if she hears them real well or the vibration when they chirp. But they don't get to do it long because she is on them. Just thought i'd share that.

Haha. Two male cricket were doing a dueling bango thing in each others face in her cage. She broke it up by eating one and knocking the other one down.

LOL!
My pedro HATES males.
He doesnt like the crunchy wings I dont think.
The best way to get pedro to go on a cricket strike is to show him male crickets lol!

Ive owned lots of veileds, I have never had or heard of one prefering one cricket sex over the other. I think you guys maybe over feeding your chams. They should see all crickets as food. Not just males. In the wild, they wouldnt pass up a insect because of its gender.

Females look plumper than males to me. Crickets that is. LOL My chams eat indiscriminately but when a male cricket gets in my females cage and starts chirping and fluttering his little wings she homes in on it avoiding all others. I think it has to do with the movement and the sound or maybe even the vibration when the male cricket chirps.

Jsiddens, that makes sense. It would be the one who attracts the most attention. I usually never feed mine adult crickets so I cant recall ever having a cham prefer one over the other.
Pedroandashley, relax. Wasnt be negative..... Im sure "Pedro" is a happy cham.
