My oustaleti males

I'm fairly new to the cham community. I have some jacksons, a cb pair of veiled, and most recently my animals of focus now are currently WC oustaleti. I frequently let them out of the mesh cage (in the process of moving them to a metallic mesh cage) to wander around my room, and they were sleeping on the clothes' hanger last night for some night shots I think. Flash was on so their colors may appear brighter than real-life:

I had to move the hanger over and the big guy woke up!!!

Note the right hand. It doesn't seem to have affected his food input! He also appears to be fairly tame given his amputation.

When I'm not doing chams I'm doing frogs (my first passion and only herp I'd consider myself an expert in) and frilled lizards.

I don't know what other people's experiences are with Furcifer but I've handled a 21" male in the past and not only did it hiss at me when I was in the same room as it, it would strike at me and its cage mates. It bit me finally one day and would NOT let go of my wrist. It not only bit, but clamped its jaws and began to twist its body like it was ripping a chunk of a piece of steak  That was not fun. If anyone's interested in seeing the bruising I still have it, just don't know if anyone wanted to see pics hah. It was just a nasty, nasty cham despite being well-fed, and I think perhaps the breeding season made it territorial.

those are beautiful oustaleti's bro are they both males or one of each sex. i got a giant male named mighty moe they are so awesome!!! what kind of set up do you have for them right now im trying to put a corner in my room and make a big cage so he has more free range. best of luck and post more pics of those beats. the longest of old world chameleons!!!

They're both males! I'm scouting people for females but jeeze louise, people on kingsnake are historically awful at returning messages

Their current cage is a 100g reptarium with a bunch of driftwood. I have had them for a number of weeks now and have yet to see them drink, which is worrisome given how much I read they like to drink, but they're eating, so I'm not too worried. There are NO leaves in their current setup, but when I move them to the metal cage they're going to have an artificial wired tree I can mold, and I'm going to hang artificial vines so there are leaves I can mist to encourage drinking.

You have a link to pics of yours?

I wish someone had told me before I bought these that I'd need falconer gloves to hold them. They walk all over my hand and arms and everytime they grip they almost break the skin. Their claws are ridiculous - the guy I bought them from told me to trim their nails. I started laughing at him. These things wouldn't let me do that.
