My FIRST Panther: Update

I have the egg and it should hatch in two months. Its a red body blue bar and its dad usually gets about 70 percent males. How many gnats/pinheads should I feed a day and how long till I move it from the fifteen gal tub to the reptibreeze XL? I have only bought juvenile chameleons, never a baby let alone an egg although I know how to care for the egg

I am getting dubias to breed for the first time, can they eat day old babies? Also if I get them to hand feed can they each portions of a mealworm?

Hey Reptileguy112,
Starting a Dubia breeder colony is a great idea, they will be great feeders for the life of your Cham . I would try feeding newborn roaches to your hatchling. That's half of the game , seeing what your Cham goes for. Good luck with the egg. Keep us updated.

Great, I don't have to deal with flies. I ordered 100 small dubias a couple days ago, they will be here friday. They are pretty small, how long till baby roaches breed?

I have to say that it's pretty awesome that you're hatching your first baby right from the egg. Did you buy it or did someone give it to you?

I got it from Eric (chameleons101) he has some pretty awesome chams. It was $40 the sire looks pretty much identical to Picasso but it has a few specs of a couple other colors and he hatches mostly males

That's very cool! I wish you the best of luck with it! I'm sure it's going to be a cute little guy :)
