1. What type of water do you use with your MistKing? RO only?

2. I have zero experience as an electrician, how hard is it to put this thing together so it works and looks clean?

3. How is maintenance on mistking?

I can't think of anymore questions.

i have a habba mist i purchased from our breeder~ it wasnt hard 2 put together at all & i only use bottled water seeing as tap water will make the habba mist rust ((or so ive been warned~) hope i could be of sum help~

Since I work amongst my chams all day, I just use a simple hand held spray bottle. The misters are like science fiction to me....maybe it is time to free up some time and try one.:)

I've had my mist king since February and its super easy to set up. I've been using regular tap water and 5 months later no nozzles clogged. I ordered a bunch of replacement nozzels but still haven't needed to use them! So as far as maintenance goes, the only mainenance I've had to do is refill the resevoir bucket with water lol. Buy the mist king... you'll love it.

Hey
I purchased a Mist King system about a year ago. It was very easy to put together, great instructions. I found that tap water left a calcium residue on the misters after time so I switched to RO water only. Very low maintenance.

I use reptisafe by zoomed, seeing as it is very inconvienient to filter my entire 4-5 Gal resevior. I also use a 25w fish tank heater to keep the misting water warm (82F). I found that the mistking was very easy to assemble. All of my wiring was already setup I just had to connect a couple plugs. So far it was a great purchase. I want another for my orchid room, soon to have a pygmy enclosure. Good Luck! Cheers!

I have the habba mister and i really don't like it, i keep fiddling with the settings and i'm just not getting the coverage I want.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I'm gonna make the purchase.

would anyone know why all of a sudden my quad mist-king nozzle would start dripping a lot more than before I've only had it running for 3 days:confused:
it was dripping like nothing and now its doing it quite a bit.

i have had the mistking setup for about 5 months now, and i use tap water, one its free, but ya it will clog up, it definitley builds calcium on my nozzle, so if you have no problem doing maintainence like me... once every month or two ill take the nozzle off and clean it with CLR .. and let it rinse of through a mister for about 30 minutes and everything is back to normal, its really not bad at all

push the hose back in? or air build up .. something obvisouly happens, sometimes air with get stuck in and it will create a leak or stoppage so just take a whose off run the pump for 5 seconds let the water come out .. and push the whose back in and it should be good, thats what works for me

yup it sure does:p it got air in it from earlier it ran for a bit with no water lol

ya well put water in the resouvoir and just pull your hose out from the pump and let it drain out and it will basically clean it out, and put the hose back in and you should be good

1. What type of water do you use with your MistKing? RO only?

Using RO water will keep your nozzles spraying a more uniform fine mist, and your cleaning intervals will be greatly reduced. I run regular tap water and clean the nozzles once every 2-3 months.

2. I have zero experience as an electrician, how hard is it to put this thing together so it works and looks clean?

The whole system is "Plug and Play" Simply connect the male plugs to the females, and route your lines. Very simple to install, and MistKing provides detailed instructions.

3. How is maintenance on mistking?

Basically zero maintance. Sometimes I dust the top of the pump with a feather duster...:D

Here is a tutorial I made on installing MistKing nozzles, you may find it usefull.

I have to say mist-king makes the best spraying nozzles:D. The pump well I Bought that somewhere else before I knew about mist-king ill just stick with my pro-mist pump for now with (sucky nozzles) but once I start on my next cham set-up I will definitely get a Mist-King... oh and you cant beat their customer service:p

Welcome to the forum i see this is your first post!

Next time start your own thread for your questions though, a lot of people look down on "stealing" someone elses thread.

However, your mistking will have no problem providing water for 2 cages! Start your own thread and post some pictures of your set ups and chameleons, we can get enough of pictures around here :D
