Misting question

Hey everyone, I have been trying to read a ton on these forums to get better informed about my new Jacksons chameleon. I have him all set up, with just a few minor changes I plan on in his cage. (I posted some pics in an earlier thread and updated them yesterday) I didn't see an answer to this question anywhere I looked.
I have a Mistking that is currently going off 3 times during his day cycle. I am still fine tuning the duration of time each mist cycle runs for due to all the environmental factors of his room. I know that it is important for the cage to dry out between mistings. Does anyone also mist during the night cycle? I am currently running a fogger in the night cycle to keep the cage's humidity from getting too low since the room has an A/C unit that is constantly turning off and on and they tend to dry the air out a bit. I plan on adding a timer for the fogger as well, if anything to give it a chance to turn off for a while and not work so hard. The room keeps an ambient humidity level of 30+ % typically so it doesn't take much to bump it up to his preferred levels.
I was just wondering if it ever rains at night in your cham cages.

I don't mist at night for my Jackson's. I also usually turn off the humidifier at night to let the humidity drop. That happens in nature, so it seems to me that the cycling of environmental conditions would be beneficial. Lights come on at 7, hand mist with warm water at 7:30izh, the first MistKing cycle pops on at 8:00 (10 mins) then 10:30 (5 mins), 1:00 (10 mins), 3:30 (5 mins), then last cycle at 6:00 (5 mins), lights off at 7:30.

I have a huge enclosure, so it takes longer mistings to get my guy enough water, but this cycle seems to be working really well. It keeps the humidity high and spiking throughout the day with a drop to ambient RH at night.

I would be curious to hear what other people do for their Jax, too.

Thank you for the reply. I am currently doing 2 5 minute and 1 3 minute mistings. First one for 5 minutes about 15 minutes after lights on. The second also for 5 minutes about 4 hours later. The last one for 3 minutes about 2 hours before lights out. Still experimenting with what works in the frog/cham room. How big is your enclosure? Sounds massive!

It's 2x3x6 foot. The extra height is really what needs more water from the mister. I have the mister nozzle pointed down into the large dracaena plant to make a more natural rainfall across the middle of the cage. My Jax prefers to drink off the dripping leaves rather than to be misted directly. It also takes him forever to make a decision, so the mister has to run for a minute or two before he decides it he's thirsty :)
