Title says it all, im looking into getting one and was wondering what yall use and what is considered better/best for our cham for now and in the future when he is bigger? Also the most affordable option would be nice, not looking to spend a fortune.

Hes a baby bb panther btw.

Mister for sure. If you're in the $100 range, I recommend the Mist King starter kit. It's timer is more robust then other systems in that price range and you can easily expand it to suit your needs. Misters are all around the best "upgrade" you can do to your setup.

yeah thats what i was thinking, my GF really likes the effect of the foggers. Can you use both, or would this be over kill? or would a mister/humidifier combo work?

I'm no expert but I've owned a Humidifier, fogger and my Mistking will be here in a few hours. I can tell you what a little about each.

Humidifier: Exactly what you think. I dont see the need unless you have a screen cage and would like to have a little extra bump in humidity.

Fogger: Fog looks cool but wont produce water drips for a Chameleon to drink. Helps with Humidity but eh. A cool add on but I don't see the need.

Mister: Like I said, I'm getting my Mistking in a few hours and I've only heard great things about it. Misting plants create water droplets for your chameleon... easy as that. If you are looking to get one, get a mister.

Yea... I have a mist king that I really like. It provides drinking water in the form of a mist which leaves droplets on the plants that the chams can drink. Over time my chams have become used to the mist going several times a day and now actually come over by the mist nozzles and stand directly in the spray, drinking and rinsing their eyes. They seem to really like it. I also use a cheap ultra-sonic room humidifier from Home Depot to keep humidity somewhat consistent in my cham room. The humidifier really helps especially during winter when your furnace is always blowing hot dry air. Cheers!

I saw a nice all glass setup with a fogger on youtube and it was a really cool looking effect as far as covering the floor with fog and im sure it bumpped up the humidity but not so sure how well that helps as far as water intake for the cham but like i said go to youtube and lookup foggers or misters to help you out

I took my daughters Winnie the Pooh humidifier for my reptile room :) Works like a champ, my Tokay and new Senegal love it, but I do still mist by hand until I get a misting system. I do have a drip line set up into the cham's cage to provide a constant source of water for the little guy/girl

Do not get a fogger! It will not produce water droplets and your chameleon will not drink from it. If you are looking to provide water for your chameleon, you must get a mister or hand mist.
