Hi Max's mom here. well he has found a whole new way to torment me, yes my little man is the Houdini of the chameleon world. He can disappear right before your eyes.(well you can see him) but he's good. Here are some pix of his escape. He saw one cricket on the floor and now he searches non stop for more and we can't keep him in his cage. lizard 2.jpg

Looks like a feisty lil guy. I would suggest possibly a few changes to his setup tho.
Most keepers do,not use a sub straight as there are possibilities of accidental ingestion and issues that can result. Also I notice a water bowl ans Chams are not likely to use them for hydration. Most keepers also prefer the use of screened setups for airflow reasons. I'm sure you love and want the best for lil max.
They sure are fun to watch. Such little characters.

Mad Max

Yes he is my heart throb for sure, No it's not a water bowl it's where we put his worms lol . I mist him 3 to 4 times a day for drinking that way I'm sure he drinks and that his water is always fresh. Right now he only has the bottom of his cage, it is glass. The top is all screen with the light set up and a top. We are looking at a misting machine but for now I enjoy watering him. We almost lost him a few months ago to mbd so I tend to spoil him allot. There is padding in the bottom of his cage and more all around his cage in case he ever falls. We take every precaution because he is so special to us, but at the same time I want him to explore his surroundings and enjoy as much freedom as his room allows. He is a real dare devil but life is a bore if all you do is worry about what might be....

You def have a cool lil guy!! Make sure to do as much research and ask as many questions to make sure ur cham lives a very happy and successful life ^.^

if you want padding, use reptile carpet or a towel.

But you need to remove that substrate, now.

As hoj said there is a real danger of ingestion.
