I just picked up some branches from my yard and just sprayed them down with some Palmolive dish soap and letting them sit for a few min. then going to hosed them down and put them in the oven for about 20 min at 350 does that sound right or should I use something else on them
thanks

That should be plenty good. 350 degrees might be a little high. You dont want to burn them. Maybe 250 max. That would kill just about anything.

Just make sure no sap escapes the branches and gets on your chameleon. It can be a bit irritating. (For your chameleon :D)

Is there a way to make sure all the sap is out of them

If the branches you picked up were freshly cut off a tree (green) they may ooze sap for a while, but once they are "dead" and dried they shouldn't be producing more. All you need to get rid of is sticky sap on the bark surface. And, most sap from non-toxic trees won't cause much trouble assuming you cleaned the branch well. I wouldn't use dish soap to scrub them as it can be harder to rinse off. A 1:10 water to bleach solution followed by rinses will do what you need. Most of my branches are much too large to bake, so I do the water/bleach scrub, rinse, and let them dry thoroughly before using them.

Ok I washed them with dish soap baked for 30 min at 250 scrubbed with them with wire brush. Sprayed them with bleach solution washed them off with boiling water .washed them again and backed them for a hour at 275
