Madagascan blue crest chameleon???
Hey,
I was in a pet store about 3-4 months ago and there was a label on 1 of the enclosures that had the name madagascan blue crest chameleon, what is that? I googled it and nothing, im not interested in buying it but I want to know because its half the price of a baby veiles here and you dont get much chameleons other than Veileds. Does anyone have one of these or a picture of one, Tygerr said that it doesnt sound like a real species so obviously the shop owner is mistaken or I dont know. What do you guys think? |

Can't say I've ever heard that as a common name before. If it was a legally exported and imported specimen, it would have to be Furcifer pardalis, F. verrucosus, F. lateralis, or F. oustaleti. You could check out the Adcham species profiles of Furcifer and Calumma to see if you spot a similar animal: http://www.adcham.com/html/taxonomy/...-taxonomy.html

Sounds like a montane species of some kind not necessarily from Madagascar.
