Lost my female too. Tremetodes?

Yesterday I noticed my Female Dwarf Jackson's chameleon wasn't looking too good. I managed to get home early today and was going to call the vet but it was too late. She was hanging from a branch with blood coming out of her mouth. I decided to cut her open to see what I found and as soon as I cut these started oozing out.

Are these tremetodes? She had so many I doubt much could be done. There were a lot more than in the picture.

Here are a couple of sites that might help...

Sorry to hear that you lost them both now.......but that often happens with WC's.

Thanks. Oddly I couldn't find much information on them but I found a picture that looked identical.

I was planning on taking her and a new baby veiled to the vet to have them checked out but I was trying to find a good one. I can't find anyone around here that could recommend one for chameleons. With the amount she had I don't think she could have been saved anyway. I couldn't believe how many were in her. I am going to stick to CB chams, at least until I get more experience. I was intenting on going with a baby veiled to begin with but found these guys. I guess I learned my lesson.

Sorry for the loss but its to be expected when dealing with WC even if you do take them to a vet in the beginning it still no guarantee that they will survive captivity.

Yeah, I know that now. I guess it is just like the seahorses I have. WC is always a gamble since they can have a very heavy parasite load. CB are much more healthy usually.

Ya. But it is unusual to see CB Jacksons. Well at least I haven't seen any for a while. Sorry for your loss Rcmike!

I wonder. Could the male have had them too but they were inside the organs so I couldn't see them when I cut him open?

Umm maybe but I don't think it would be likely. You would have seen it like the female. Thats my opinion.

Probably so. I just hate it when you don't know the cause.
