Kinyongia Multituberculata

I finally got a decent photo of one of my male K. multi. just chilling out. Usually he freaks out as soon as he sees the camera, but this time he just sat there and posed for me.

He's a WC male that I got back in March. He has bred and his mate laid eggs last month. I really like this species a lot. They are very personable once they get accustomed to people.

Very nice Mike! He looks to be in excellent shape, if I didn't know any better I'd have thought he was CB! Great job with him man, and congrats on the clutch!

Awesome man. :D mind telling what you had to do to acclimate him? Im hoping to Get a male for christmas.

Just the usual, rehydrated and fed him for a week then treated for parasites. My group was fairly dehydrated. I believe that the importers are not used to meeting the cooler, wetter requirements of montanes.

The fecal check found anaerobes so I treated with flagyl. This species has been reported to have high parasite loads, but I only got one male in that had worms so bad that he died in two days. The rest of my group were lightly loaded with protozoa and anaerobes, tolerated treatment and acclimated very well.

I weighed them and logged it every day for the first month so that I could monitor and change up feeders if I found one losing weight. After they acclimated, I only weigh once every couple of weeks.

Thanks, Alex. Hopefully there is some demand for CB in about a year.:) I tried like heck to get CB but nobody was breeding them. Probably because of cheap WC availability.

When I have the money for something bigger than pygmies, I am so getting a k. Multi. They seem amazing!

I have a vosseleri.. similar looking but it seems like the multi have more or brighter green.

Vosseleri are cool too. Yours might brighten up with time.

The multi are very drab from the importer. It takes a few sheds to show their true colors. Kinyongia are my new favorite genus. I'd like to work with Kinyongia xenorhina if I could afford them.
