IUCN Lists 44 New Lemur Species As Endandered And Facing Extinction

This new Mongabay article lists that 44 Lemur species have been listed by the IUCN Red List and Endangered and facing extinction. This is precipitous news however with conservation programs going to conserve these Lemur species it means conservation of Madagascar chameleon forest too. If you are an enthusiast of Madagascar wildlife (Chameleons etc..) support active conservation programs in Madagascar.

Thanks for the link - I'm glad you continue to bring "chameleon" causes to our attention - It's so important to support the work going on in Madagascar.

I am actually not endorsing Endangered Lemurs. This link is pertaining to more regard to Madagascar's Lemurs and the forests they live in. Which lemurs as umbrella species means more conservation of forests that chameleons live as well. Keeping chameleons species in captivity is a privilege of accomplished conservation goals. To conserve these species in the wild and in our hobby long term, I highly recommend making contributions to areas that has wildlife programs for areas/species you want to conserve long term.
