Ok, Only three gallons, but thinking it may be a good recovery/isolation cage for the girls after laying to let them recover.. So they wont get pestered to quickly by the male..

Or at least a ""possible" baby grow out cage.. THIS IS FOR PIGMY CHAMS :) Just in case someone does not note the forum..

Was is on sale at petsmart 40% off, about $27 bucks.. Nice looking tank, LED light.. may even be able to sell off/trade the filter I will not be using for a few bucks :)

Just need to decide if I am going to do a proper live.. or more fake/silk plastic plants with perhaps a few potted small plants, something I could tear down disinfect between residents..

What ya think? a 10 gallon would have been about the same price.. but was looking for a smaller tank.. Critter keepers are expensive, then still need to add a light..

:)

yes.. pygmy chams, they can be house communally.. their care is different than the larger species :)

I should have stated specifically, but did not because of the forum I was posting.. Pygmy Enclosures >>

I will Edit it :) you many not be the only one to ask, don't want to confuse people :)

I think that's very cool. It's nice that it came with a light, too. I bought a couple exo terra nanos to plant up, just in case there are babies. I like the concept of a female vacation cage, to get a break from breeding.

That tank will work fine for a single girl recovery tank or a grow out tank for babies.

I use exo nanos which are similar.

Personally I feel all chams, especially Pygmys deserve live plants. That's just my opinion though.

I agree with the above, unless it's for babies I'd use live pants. For babies, plastic would be easier so it can be cleaned.

The recover cage I got from someone else reading older post.. So cannot claim ownership of that idea :)
but not a bad idea really in a enclosed environment the males can find them a little to easy.. something I may experiment with..

It was the nifty light that kind of sold me :) It is plastic to so may even be able to add some vents to it :) too.. something you cannot easily do with a glass tank.. so a led light, tank.. and a top I can modify.. something a little different than a standard tank.. oh what the heck :)
