I just placed an order with the Kammers !!!

After talking with Liddy and Ed over the past month or so, I finally took the plunge today and placed my order. I should recieve in the next week or so one of their largest complete set-ups as well as the smaller complete set as well. I also placed an order for one of "Roa-endrika's" male offspring. The baby won't be ready for another 3 weeks or so..........and the "wait" begins.

I am also gonna get one of the AquaZamp's with two raindomes to complete the package. Gonna have Kevin fix me up with drainage trays for both cages and I should be good to go. When it gets a little closer to the actual shipping time of the baby, I'll order some crickets and perhaps a special treat or two for him after his across the country journey.

To say I'm excited..........would be a vast understatement.

Tick............Tock.............Tick...............Tock

Nice :)

I also recently got my nosy be from kammer sired by Caranthir last Thursday. He is healthy and currently exploring his enclosure. I am excited for ya.

I had to wait three weeks for my Kammers baby to arrive after I placed the order as well. It felt like three years since I am so impatient, but it was definitely worth the wait. My little guy ate, drank, and was sociable from the minute I got him into his enclosure.

Congrats, Its always fun to play the waiting game, I am currently waiting on one right now when I can schedule a day off to accept my package...lol

Welcome to the forums and the Kammer family! There are many of us here on the forum who have Kammer Chams! Be sure and post pics when you get your new arrival!

I just received my Kammer baby Thursday! He came out of the box curious ready to settle into his new enclosure. I was worried about such a tiny boy being shipped, but it was a very good experience, and I would do it again. It will be worth the wait!

I got my Kammers' baby on June 7. He arrived at 11:30 - so much for the 10:30 guarantee. It was the longest hour of my life! And the temps were over 90! I was going to weigh him when he arrived, but he ran out of the container and up my arm to my back - I just kind of leaned into his cage and he ran onto a plant. Ate and drank right away. He's a great little boy! I'm so happy for you!

welcome to the Kammer family!, all of us are happy you are here!!
are you getting one of Kevins newly designed AZ"s?. They look awesome and I plan on having them for all my cages, Kevin is awesome to do business with

Anne, Yes......I am getting one of his new ones. I figure when he grows up and moves into his larger cage I will use both raindomes in that one for him. I know that in the future I will own another Kammer baby and I'll just add more raindomes to the additional cages. Kevin has also been very nice to deal with and that means a lot to me. He is going to have me a couple custom drain trays built for these two cages and I should be set for a while.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and well wishes.........and don't worry, I am a picture taking FREAK !!!! Digital camera's are one of the best inventions since the spoon and I take lots of pictures. Sooooooooooooooo.........brace yourself folks.

Roa-Endrika

I just got my Roa-Endrika male on july 28th. Happy , healthy, eatting and drinking right out of the box. He is awsome. Showing alot of his dads color characteristics for only being hatched in May. Liddy is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

CONGRATZ!!!!!

finally some young brothers to Zulu:)...haha my cham in my avatar pic is one of Roa-endrika's offspring

definatley post pics....i understand the wait:rolleyes:

Fast Forward.......about 5 weeks..........and

Well........it's been a loooooooooooooooooooooong 5 weeks.........BUT.......my Kammer baby is somewhere between California and West Virginia........RIGHT NOW. The waiting game is almost over and sometime within the next 12 hours, I should have a delivery in hand.

Playing the waiting game really doesn't bother me........UNTIL........the time gets close and I know the package is on its way. I have the cage set-up and things seem to be working fine, so I am as "ready" as I should be. The crickets arrived last Friday and have been eating Bug Burger since their arrival, so they should be full of the same "good stuff" that Ed and Liddy feed theirs.

I'm finally about to "officially" be a "Chameleon Keeper"......again !!! :D

I don't understand the attraction to the aquazamp rain drippers or any drippers for that matter.

I have a sharper image humidifier hooked up that i did for about $100 total and it emits a gentle fog throughout my cage constantly that keeps humidity up and turns into fresh water when it hits the leaves, and runs down my cage like raindrops.

In my opinion, it is the cheapest, most intelligent and thorough way of establishing humidity and drinking water with 0 mess to clean up or drainage needed.

If you're smart that's the route youll take

Well, as you probably dont know cause you're making a pretty harsh statement stating that if you're smart that's the route to take.. the chameleon's instinct to drink water is triggered by rain drops falling.. Fog will keep humidity up, but will not be enough to fulfill the water intake needs of chameleons. It's a nice addition, but not the smartest way to go.. go try though.

To late.........I already have the AquaZamp along with a couple of RainDomes. I wasn't a whole lot above the $100 you spent and to me was worth every penny. I have the drainage trays and everything is draining perfectly..........all I gotta do is dump out the 5 gallon bucket every day or two. The humidifier sounds like an excellent idea, but I have had several for our house in the winter time and they are a pain in the *ss to keep bacteria from growing in. I have yet to find one that won't harbor and breed bacteria without a lot of "chemical additives" to the reservoir water.

I am a Respiratory Therapist by profession and I am "pretty educated" on "humidified" nebulizers. We throw away ALL used nebulizers for ALL patients on a weekly basis...........and I'm not sure that is OFTEN enough. No Thank-You on the humidifier idea..........my opinion is that "long term" they will cause a lot of un-necessary respiratory infections.

I can control and keep the misting system clean and bacteria-free a whole lot easier and better.

Kammers rock

I just got my cham from Kammerflage Kreations last tuesday and I love him!I am also considering getting a raindome kit. Is the drainage tray you are getting for the large cage from the Kammers? If you don't mind, could you tell me the price for the tray?

No...........I got my drainage trays from Kevin at AquaZamp. They have to be made "special" to fit the large cage from the Kammers. It ups the price to have one made..........but I am happy with the results. You can figure about double the price of the regular sized drainage trays and a little bit of lead time to get it made and shipped to you. Talk with Kevin if your interested and he can fix you right up.
