That is for sure a male. He has quite a prominent bulge in the tail like the males do. He could very well be stressed from moving to his new home. Give him some time and I am sure his colors will start showing. How old is he??

The guy I got him from said he thinks 7 or 9 mths so I am not sure and thank you so much I was worried. I have had had him 5 days

Usually the coloring by that age should be pretty prominent, so I am just going to go with stress and getting used to things as to why he is so dark. Also, the females rostral(the end of the nose) is usually shorter than the mouth, where the males will start to extend over the mouth. It does look short in the picture.. I still say male as you can clearly see a bulge in that picture. Can you take a couple of other pics please ?

I took him outside to get a Lil sun and he turned pale and I could see light Red and blue green colors on him then he pooped on me .. eww but it is 102 today outside so we did not stay out long and came back in I took the pics but can't get the other one up.

With proper supplementing and food, and the right care, he can easily start to color up for you.

between stress, and possible inadequate care, it could explain why he got so dark.

becuae at that age, even when stressed, most of his colors should show through.
