How to post links

There are two main types of links that members can post on the forums. If you are new to the forums, please review the forum rules before posting any links.

External Links
When posting external links, it is convenient to use the [url] tag. There are two ways to do this and examples are given below:
Code:

A. [url]http://www.ChameleonForums.com[/url]

B. [url=http://www.ChameleonForums.com]The Chameleon Forums[/url]
```
In a post, the examples above would display as:

A. http://www.ChameleonForums.com

B. The Chameleon Forums
```

Internal Links
When posting internal links to threads or posts, the [thread] and [post] tags are very convenient. Each thread and each post in these forums have specific id numbers you can link to. Below are some examples:

Code:

A. [thread]66[/thread]

B. [thread=66]This is a named link to a thread[/thread]

C. [post]328[/post]

D. [post=328]This is a named link to a post[/post]

The above code would be displayed in posts as shown below:

A. http://www.chameleonforums.com/showthread.php?t=66

B. This is a named link to a thread

C. http://www.chameleonforums.com/showthread.php?p=328

D. This is a named link to a post
