They can lay up to 3 or 4 infertile clutches per year. My first female laid her first at 14 months old and her second exactly 4 months later.
there is some changes in husbandry (lower temps and lower food intake) that can help reduce size and how often female veileds lay infertile clutches. there is more info at raising kitty the female veiled cham (sorry i cant give you the link cause im on my cell)
My female veiled, since I've had her, has laid 2 clutches, exactly 6 months apart.
Sweet! Do you know of any pictures of a gravid female veiled chameleon?
You should be able to keep your female from laying clutches if you cut back on her food and keep her cooler. This blog will tell you how to do it.
