How to increase humidity for cage.

I bought my second chsmeleon this weekend. He a Jackson chameleon I'm calling Trident.
His humidity currently remains mostly between 50-60%.
Are there anyways to increase his humidity? I already have a dripper that drips for 30-40 min and I covered 3 sides of his cage leaving only the top and front for ventilation

You may have to cover part of the front too, especially if its cold in your area and your house furnace is running more. Just for grins, try checking the humidity level in the ROOM away from the cage. I'll bet its drier than you realize, and this will just suck the moisture out of your cage.

Mist more often and for a longer period so there every surface is wet and dripping.
Add more live foliage to the cage to hold more droplets longer. Live plants also add humidity because they are exchanging moisture through transpiration and from evaporation off the pot soil.
Drippers don't add much humidity to the cage in general.
You can raise the general humidity of the room with a humidifier, or aim the stream at the cage.

I would not cover any more than you already have because airflow is essential to health. You don't want anything to be still. I have a pair of 24"x24"X48" enclosures with just the back and one side covered and I am running 80-85% humidity. Life plants did wonders for me. I have a huge plant in the center portion and then a nice hanging plant down the front section. I only run the mister for 2 minutes 3 times a day and am maintaining that humidity. So yeah add more live plants.

I have Crane brand humidifier's I use with my chams. Bought them at target, and they have lasted forever. I like the penguin as it blows the humidity where I want it. The elephant one is also nice.

Do you put the humidifier in their cage? or outside of it?

Everyone's situation is different. In very extreme dry conditions you may have to cover more of the cage sides. It can be done. The fans from humidifiers and the force of auto misters really do push the air around quite well. The cage won't sit completely still if you have these cycles throughout the day. Putting plastic on cage sides still won't completely seal them to air movement. You want them to "leak".
