How far can they see

I have two chamelons , a veil about 8" in a large cage and a panther about 5" in a smaller cage, both are doing well, it's just I'm not sure if there 5 feet away from each other it will bother them?

Are they within each other's line of view? Yes, from what I've read their vision is quite good. I'm sure they could see each other even from across the room. Many people put up a divider between the cages to prevent the chams from seeing each other. Seeing another cham will likely stress them out.

Its a case by case basis. Ive had them lined up in a row with a little fake ivy between them and they were just fine. Ive seen others where the cham would find that one little spot where it could see the other cham, and sit there giving him chin music.

They can see pretty good from what I've experienced. I once had a male about across the room but had a cardboard in between. What I didn't realize is it had gotten a little tiny hole. I came home one time to a fired up boy trying to dig through his cage, lol.
