the genus are instantly different, that is do to a genetic/ physical difference. if those eggs do survive, i don't believe they will.
Good answer Sang.

Have you heard of a Liger? Cross between Lion and Tiger? I think they are the same down to and including Genus, arent they? Only different at the Species level? Panthera leo × Panthera tigris

I kinda think its wrong to cross two animals that really would never naturally do so.

yes i have heard about ligers, as well, but even with ligers there are A TON of rules about breeding them successfully.

First the female has to be lion and the male a smaller species of tiger. smaller thne the female lion.

they havn't had a successful breeding the other way around .

also Ligers are prone to deafness, blindness, physical disabilities and bone/joint problems.

ligers have so many problems a majority of them don't survive birth , hence why so few exist, and all the offspring is sterile as it is.

tigons have had like 1 successful breeding and the baby died shortly after birth.

*this thread is extremly frustrating to me, cause i don't believe in cross breeding with species that are not of the orginal species if that makes since.

I agree with that. Animals should not be forced to get it on

GOOD POINT, GOOD WORD,

I have to mention mule(jennet or XXX), Mule come from donkey and horse. Both of them are the same family and different Genus(equid, asnus,Equus)
Althought mule is sterile but mule is with good gene from donkey and horse.
mule is meek. mule is stronger than them. mule's life is longer than both of them, mule also have stamina and resistibility.
I just wanna say that we can not make sure that all crossbred is bad, crossbred may work for human very well than original species . There is one point in biology, that is if cross from the same family and different genus, the offspring may be with good gene from both parents.

I'm from Miami and at [Parrot] Jungle Island down there they have a Liger. It really is impressive to see. It's HUGE.

That's really all I had to say, sorry.

My girlfriend and I had a male veiled mate with a female panther when we were very new to chameleon keeping. We were not trying to breed them, just noticed that they had "found each other" one day while free roaming. The resulting eggs were 100% infertile, as we had expected.
