Hi, my little Veiled Chameleon (Darwin meh budddy) :D is looking very small! I will post pics when i can get a good one in a min. here. but he seems too small! should he be showing his colours now? i just seen pics of Luie and Camilles babies (sorry if i butchered the names) and they are like the size of my female thats about 11 months and should mine be a bit bigger? hes only about 3 inches h/v. so i would love some input too. he eats up to 12 circkets a day and 3 small dubia. (no supers yet hes too small to eat them he just ignores them)
thanks Zac

Janns babies are just big lol. At 4 months my veiled started to get some of his barring. Here is mine at 3 months

what the?! my little guy has hardly no barring at all! he puffs up and hisses and changes slightly darker but hes not gettin gmuch barring or as big as Luie and Camille! is he possibly younger than i thought? hes getting his casque though so ik hes growing! D:

Well post pics. He huffs up and hisses at you because you're messing with him. How much do you feed him?

Yes, Jann's babies are huge for their age!!! Most are not that big. I have 2 of Jann's one is big and the other is smaller. My other 2 babies are about 2 wks behind Jann's and are nowhere near the size of hers!!! My smaller ones are fussy eaters. They eat, just not as much. It's hard to compare, cuz they do grow at their own pace. Just as long as they are healthy!!:D

here he is as of today.. he doesn't mind me holding him but if i let him go on a plant he shows small blotches of darkened colour... and the pic is off my phone. my camera is crap... also.

Your chams back legs look a little bowed. Is it just me or do they look like this to anyone else?

yeah i noticed that too. it doesn't seem to be affecting him... i am trying to give him more calcium but he doesn't care for it much... what should i do?

Well if he has mbd you need to take him to the vet so they can give him some liquid calcium to stop the mbd. Try to take him outside also, that helps a lot.

alrighty... i will get ahold of the vet today and see how much it will cost to check up on him.. and delilah too (just for safety purposes) and talk to my mom too! I hope he doesn't have MBD my female seems to have the bowing of the back legs too! :( but ik shes never had a supplement in her life until she came to live with me.

They both probably have mbd. It is gonna cost you a lot so explain that to your mom. It cost me 100$ for an x-ray and 150$ for meds! You need to get calcium supplement and a calcium supplement with d3 and a multivitamin supp. Dust with the calcium 6x a week and dust with the d3 and multivitamins for twice a month each.

I noticed the back leg too. So you are saying you have never dusted your chams food with calcium powder??? How are you administering calcium?
