House plant ID

I want to put some baby tears and pothos in my cage, but I saw this plant in my house. I want to know what it is to see if I could start a piece of it and grow more of it. Know what it is?

That looks like Dieffenbachia, known in years past as "Dumb cane", because its sap can numb your tongue.

I'd leave that one in a pet-free zone of my home, I think . . .
