Oh gosh I need to advice. So I went out and got Chevy a buffet of foods and one of those happens to be Horn Worms, Now he loves them!

My dilemma here is that I went to bed last night, and when I got up this morning I have BUICK size worms in my office, okay well maybe not BUICK size, maybe more close to SEMITRUCK!!! Holy Crap! These things are like 4inches give or take a few centimeters. What can I do with them?

did we not warn you they grow super fast in another thread lol, if you have several you can pupate them and attempt to breed them. i'm currently in my first attempt have 4 in coccoons and least another 3 pupating. pigglet77 i believe it is has great blogs on rearing and breeding different feeders

Oh yes you warned and some others! I was just shocked is too how fast they went from being tiny to ridiculously large! I did have the thought of breeding. Guess I will look into that:)

yeah might as well try it and enjoy the experience if successful you save money on feeders and if you get to many try and sell them locally and make a quick buck :D

You can also turn then into moths by putting them into a container of dirt. They will dig down and pupate and then hatch in about 3 weeks. The thing is the moths are huge too, so if your chameleon is too small to eat the worms he will be too small to eat the moths! When he gets bigger it is an option if he decides to not eat the worms.

How big is your cham? Horns are soft bodies, so chams can eat larger one than others feeders. But no semi's, maybe a small KIA.

Yeah you need to cool them to slow their growth when they are approaching the size you want. My adult panthers can eat almost full grown worms, but stand back so you don't get squirted! Lol

Basically the bigger they are the faster they grow. Don't even bother trying to withhold food either because they will just start eating each other.

He is roughly 7 inches body and about 48 grams maybe little more. I am sure he is under weight and maybe even under the length he should be because of his MBD.

Wow. I have a lot to learn, lol. Well at least I can say I would never fall under that category of not having enough food for him!
