Hmm one of my hornworms head is clear and hes getting kinda gooey near the end by his horn..... Hes also not moving much.....

If his head is getting clear then put him in a container with soil and let him dig down in the dirt or cover him. He will turn brown and turn into a cocoon and He will turn into a moth. It takes a good month or so for this to happen.

O crap XD I fed him cause I didnt want to waste him >> XD Next one that does that Ill do that! lol I was scared he was dying ....hes in Mrs.Chameleons belly now.

hornworms evolve!? like pokemon??

lol yeah they are moths XD I knew they evolved but I didnt know this was one of the processes..... I knew they got smaller then started to form the coocoon thing but I didnt know they started the process wheether they were in soil or not.

The guy at Coastal Silkworms told me when they kinda become transparent then put them in some dirt. I did and it worked!!!

I havnt done much research on taking care of the moths yet though.... I suppose I should go do that so I will be prepared just in case if I get anymore that start to do that.

is it okay to feed the chameleon Sphinx moths? I know thats the moth they turn into but idk if you can feed tehm the moths...

Yuck.... Now my hornworms are shedding their heads..... -_- Its not cool when you look in the lid and think they were eating each other like the crickets.... but then you notice their all there....

a little late to the party but i was so relieved that you were taling about a worm. i was worried for you and your lil lady...whew......

Aw Hoj Im sorry to scare ya like that! sheesh I was worried for my worm XD I didnt want him to die 0.0 so I fed him to Mrs.Chameleon >> xD No Mr.Chameleon and Mrs.Chameleon are thriving wonderfully! I just wish my cage would come in already so I can seperate them -_-

instead of putting mine in dirt i put them on a paper towl in a covered container with breathing holes of course....i just fed my first hawk moth to my cham last night....

Do you guys put them in teh chams cage? Im trying to figure out what I would put them in to keep them from flying away?
