Having serious tests tomorrow...

I am having some tests tomorrow for possible cancer.

I found a lump a week ago and have been called in as an urgent before christmas.

I am trying to stay as positive as possible, but have to admit, I am kind of scared, not only of the results but of the tests themselves, they are not without quite a high level of discomfort and I am a total wuss when it comes to pain.

Unlikely as well that I will get the results before Christmas, so am a little down right now.

Keep things crossed for me please, the members on here that know me well?:rolleyes:

Any updates? We are hoping for good news!

I've been right where you are several times, so I understand! I also know that bad news can be dealt with...its been 20 years since my own.

Any news? I'm just seeing this now as well. Stay positive, a lot of these things are false alarms. I'm only 25 but I've gotten back abnormal routine tests that needed a biopsy and most of the time it seems like it's the doctors being extra cautious more than anything else. Hoping it's just a cyst or something equally benign!

I am just seeing this as well and hoping you have not updated as you are just busy with the holidays and everything is going ok for you.

Update

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year as well.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet recently.

I had biopsies before Christmas for suspected breast cancer, but I haven't had the results yet. I was told that it will be the first week in January, so I am hoping to hear sometime next week.

I will keep you all posted and thank you all so much for your concern and good wishes. Means a lot.

Rachel, I'm only just now seeing this!! Have you found out anything yet?
I'm thinking of you.
My Mom had little lumps, turned out to be benign fatty tumors. Doc told her those are very common when you are 50 or over.
They are often mistaken for cancer, and they may have to do follow-up scans, so try not to freak out if they tell you they need to do more tests.
