Had my male veiled put to sleep yesterday... I'm totally gutted. The vet said we had done everything right for him but it was an old spinal injury that was healling wrong, he had sustained it long before we got him and this had caused him to have problems with his back legs the last two days. With the vets advice we let him go peacfully. Such a shame he was a beautiful guy who did not deserve this. There is a very empty viv in our house and I am nearly in tears posting this today. Up until two days ago he was a lively feisty guy.... I am gutted.

Thank you all for your kindness. It was heartbreaking watching him go down hill at a rate of knotts.

I am so sorry to hear that....I had to do the same with my female years ago but I know that it was the right choice to let him go peacefully.

Please know you did the right thing for him. I hope this will help to comfort you. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your viv does not stay empty for long....
