Thumbs up "Green" Potting Bench

I'm sure most of you know by now my family owns a 50k sqft furniture store here in Southern California, and that I have been on a "Go Green" kick for the past month or so. I have been building items from stuff that would normally be thrown out.

Well, about 2 years ago we recieved about (50) Natural Finished Pine Queen size panel beds, consisting of headboards, footboards and side rails. The factory shipped them with metal side rails and wood side rails, giving the customer the option to choose. We sold out of the beds long ago, and I was left with about 25 sets of wood rails in the warehouse. The pieces measure 4 1/2"x 1 1/2"x 84", and I have been trying to use the lumber for various "Free" projects. They were going to be thrown out otherwise, so why not use them!?!? I needed a place to repot and trim my chameleon plants, so I made a "Rustic Pine Potting Bench".

Screws $3
Wood glue $2
Finishing supplies $6
Project total: $11

Total build time: 6 hrs

Here it is along with some of my cage plants going through rehab....

Cool! Fancy coming over to the UK to help me build my cage? Lol! I'm sure my efforts will be laughable compared to yours!
