Graceful Adoption/minor rescue

I got a 1 yr old Graceful from Craigslist. The previous owner was doing an ok job other than the cage is too small, CF uvb light (which didnt seem to cause eye problems), water bowl, and feeding mealworms for the past few weeks.

She is gorgeous but has some problems that the owner said were there when she purchased her at a reptile show in Cleveland, OH several months ago.

Her problems seem to be some mouth rot which appears to be healed over and getting better and the loss of a few toe nails.

I plan on taking her to the vet on Monday or Tuesday just to get her checked for parasites and anything else.

one more thing.. anyone have a suggestion for a name? I would like to avoid Grace :)

looks female to me, i do know though size isnt much different from male to female, someone more experienced with gracefuls will comfirm, it looks gravid or really mad, hahah. i do know this they require insane humidity and are one of the tuffer chams to keep up on....

good luck on the few issues it has, the vet should be able to help you clear that stuff right up....

she could be gravid. I think she is just super ticked though. she just took a long car drive and I had her out of the cage on that plant to clean it. I was trying to get her off the plant to put back into the cage and she didnt want anything to do with me so I took some pics.. she is also afraid of the camera. I will probably keep a laying bin in with her though just in case.

I kept mine a temps a little lower then I keep my Veileds, and they do fine.
As for humidity, make sure its not to high, but not to low either.

if shes brand new to me i put them in their cage and try not to even really look at them theyll come around with feedings and cleanings to tolerating you...

I would, but there was dead feeders and poop in the cage that not only needed cleaned out but it also stunk.

I say name her sunny!! Congrats on your new cham hopefully everything goes well with her and her health improves in your care.

PS. I got the worms and my chams LOVE them!!:p

If its particularly smelly, talk to the vet about parasite control too, that can be an indicater.
Nice looking cham, love its pattern, I can Imagine it could be very well camouglaged!
Heres hoping it fixes up well for ya.
