Funny Crickets

When I feed my crickets I always feed them something fresh, and some special cricket pellets that have a high vitamin/mineral/calcium content. These pellets are all sorts of bright colours; blue, pink, yellow etc. I noticed something rather odd the other day, in that my crickets were changing colour!! A number of them had recently shed, so were a bit transparent, and you could see which colour pellet they had eaten very clearly!!! So at the moment I have pink and green crickets running around!!!

lol interesting, never heard of those pellets, but i know the petstores use pellets of rabbit and chicken food.

looks like the bright food is just being seen in the stomach through the translucent molt, not the cricket turning colors itself, wouldnt that be crazy.

I didn't mean actually changing colour, just looks like it. I wish it was the actual cricket changing colours! That would be awsome!!!
I think they're called calcium plus for crickets....might not have them in the states!
