Frankii :(

I think my poor Frankii may have broken his wing or at least sprained it :(

He flew into the wall and took quite a tumble today.
Frankii and Monkii are technically Jared's birds, so we haven't clipped their wings regularly. I warned him but he loves watching them fly. Today Frankii flew into the wall :( Now he squeels like a car alarm if you try to touch him. :(

I owned Frankii for about 2 weeks before he was Jared's so I'm quite attached to the little turd.

We are leaving him alone for a couple of days before freaking out just to be sure it isn't just a muscle spasm :(

His wing is broken :( The poor baby was screaming his head off when I checked it out.

What can I do besides low stress? Mom says he won't fly again, but with the way he is holding it it should heal just fine.

I feel so bad for my baby :(

Thanks :( I feel so bad for him. I don't really know what to do and the bird vet in my area is AWFUL so I have to see what I can do by myself. It is heartbreaking that he won't fly again :(

Aww I'm so sorry! I had one when I was younger. Her name was Budgie(I'm SO creative  haha). I never dealt with anything like that, though! Have you tried googling it and seeing if you can find some solutions? I would just be worried about it healing wrong and causing pain or something. Is there not another avian vet in your area?

Haha that's cute!! No, not really. I know if I brace it it will (theoretically) help with the pain he feels, but I feel awful touching him cuz he sounds like an alarm :( No, the only other avian vet is 5hrs away. :( I will google it and see if I can coband it to his body. He holds it in the (close to) right position, But I'm worried to stress him :(

Update

Frankii has finally stopped screaming whenever you go near him, and his wing is quivering less now.

Does anyone know how to brace it? Or should I even at all? He is holding it the same as the other wing, but about a 2 or 3 cm gap between his wing and torso

what I did when my pocket parrot broke his wing was put it in its "natural" position, and tape it there. Not so it's sprawled out, but folded in. Took about 6 weeks for him to heal. Sometimes a vet is a good idea. Maybe if you even gave one a call? Hope he's doing better. Best wishes

I think I miss diagnosed it. I think he sprained it, whenever he tries to fly it sticks out for a minute or two and then goes back to normal position:)
