Found bugs with crix
Hey guys!
I found these small bugs when I cleaned my crix box earlier today. I've never seen anything like this before and would like to know if anyone knows them. I am a little worried as they could potentially have infected the crickets themselves (and my ambilobe at the same time). The bugs are about 2-3 mm long and have dark brown body with long straight reddish hair. I found 5 of them in the box and most of them were hidden under cardboard. Any input is greatly appreciated! If I'm right, these bugs are the ones that eat dead crickets. They should be the larvae of some type of black beetle. They will eat dead crickets and their sheds.

I agree with Marc10edora...I find these all the time in the cricket shipments and they are harmless...They feed off of the dead crickets...

Yeah, it's not a problem. I used to get them all the time when I kept large numbers of crickets.
