Finished enclosure!

Well almost. I need to do a couple touch up spots and a couple more coats of varathane on the inside of the bottom door. Didn't have time today. Hence the masking tape which I should have pulled off for teh pics, I'm going to have to reapply it, apparently it didn't like zipping down the hwy strapped to the top of my van for 60km very much.

The cage is 4 feet high (actual cage, not from floor to top) 3 feet wide, 2 feet deep. Has two levels for corner shelves to go in. The bottom is an external aluminum tray, I included a more detailed pic for those of you interested in drip trays. It will house an adult female veiled. So far just have the pothos for it, plan on getting a hibiscus and a ficus. Have some various wood and branches for more climbing as well.

detail of the bottom. The aluminum is broken across both diagonals with holes drilled for drainage. Just need to put a bucket underneath.

My dad built it for me, he's a machinist and specializes in aluminum.

My only concern is that it might be cool. Aluminum tends to be cold, but we'll see once I get a the heat light set up and see how that affects it. If not I might have to put some sort of peel n stick tiles or something over it.

Aluminum transfers heat very well. So it will be fine since you have it indoors.
