Just be careful with the potted palnt perched high like that. If they fall, the crash can be fatal and I've found this out the hard way. The heavy moisture needs can weaken whatever is holding this up and if you have a small animal in this cage, well.......

Someone else was asking about this the other day and i didn't respond but now I'm seeing that it is a trend. Just make sure you are using solid materials to hold this pot up, and a plastic pot is better.

Where is the UVB tube? And what is the big black pipe / hose / vacuum cleaner thing? Finally, what are the other two clamp lights for?

The suspended feeder cup is a good idea. I have learned from past experience that it is better to use a cup that isn't see thru though! My first little veiled yanked himself right off of a branch when he tried to hit a cricket that he could see through the clear container! I felt like a real jerk.

I do not have a UVb tube yet. I need to update my CFL UVb with a tube though. For now my CFL UVb is positioned to point at my white wall to reflect light in towards the enclosure, while still having some light from the CFL UVb go driectly into the enclosure. Also I am keeping the clamp light with the CFL UVb further away rather than direclty on top. This way it reduces any possibilities of creating photo-?-conjunctivitis. My cham is doing awesome these past two days since moving in last Sunday.

I also use a red heat lamp for during the day in addition to one 150w heat bulb, both on clamps. If its really cold in the apt. I will keep the red light on. My apt buidling was built in the 1800's and is really drafty.
The black tube is hooked directly to a humidifier that pumps himidity into the cage. It is cold and dry in New Hampshire this time of year. My furnace is in the same room as the cham and it dries the whole apt. out. My humidity drops below 25. So the humidifier is really needed. I also mist 3+ times a day and have three live plants in the enclosure. When summer comes I won't need the humidifier any more. It gets well above 60-80% humid here.

Yes this can happen. In the past my cham would shoot his toungue at the container and now realizes he needs to go above the cup. Smart little guy.

The potted, suspended plant is completely stable. The pot itself is attached to a bamboo shoot. The bamboo extends up through the base of the pot. At the abse of the bamboo I have it stuck down into soil, orchid moss than a layer of stone ontop. It doesn't shake or wobble at all. Pretty firm though.
