Female Cham, dark colors

Canny Chams

New Member
Hey guys, i moved one of my female panther chameleons into her adult cage, 2 X 2 X 6 feet, 3 days ago. I moved her into the cage, set up water and everything, it was all good, and i had to go for 2 days to my grandparents, she was not fed during this time, she is 8 months old. When i got back last night, the light cycle just went off, but i noticed she was quite dark, same with this morning, even after i fed her. Do you think its just the stress, or something else at play? She also fell 2 feet 2 times in the past week, im not sure if its was just couldnt get a good grip on something or not

Does she have a place to lay eggs in the cage?
Please fill out the questions in the "how to ask for help" thread in the Health Forum.

Hey man I think you may have something going on where you are. Isn't this the 3rd or 4th related Cham prob since you moved? I hope she's ok but she may be stressed and or not finding the right temps.

i always fill in the how to ask for help thing every time i do it and the answers are the same, everything is fine. I dont think she is gravid, in fact, i would call her alittle on the skinny side. She does not have a lay bin yet, but im planning on puting one in very soon

im not really sure. All my other chams are ok. Same with my crested geckos. Cheech and chong i have no idea what happened to them, but im pretty sure its different than what happened to blue. Blue and valaria, who is the one in th original post, were both under very similar husbandry, and in the same room, same position, same watering, food, everything. I suspect blue got renal kidney failiure from dehydration, due to the very low humidity in the room, and that they were very close to the air vent shooting out hot dry air. I have recently moved her, and shot all my misting times up, but there is still paranoia. I have no money whatsoever left after the recent disaster of a vet visit. I remember with blue, he had a low bone density as a result of the kidney problem, if valaria has the same thing, she will have low bone density. Anyway to tell how her bone density is without going to the vet?

Is the cage you moved her to one that was used for one of the chameleons you lost recently? If so was it sterilized before you put her in it?
Can you post a photo of her please?
