Experienced chameleon owners please read
My female jacksons is going through a real rough shedding. She has just gave birth to 18 about two weeks ago. I am really concerned because she has been going through this for a little over a week now. She is going on her third day with out eating, and she is just sitting in one place for the majority of the day. Staying real dark colors. What should i do?? Please let me know

I would not suggest a vet appt. Stress is one of the leading killers of chameleons. Keep her well hydrated with an auto mister. Water her for long periods, and yes, a shower would would wonders.

I agree with the shower and less stress. Having babies is stressful enough and then shedding right away is stressful also. Perhaps just kicking up your misting for a few days and a wait and see for the shower would be a better idea if she isn't used to showers. Showers can be stressful if they have never had one before.
