I know this sounds weird but they like a snug fit . I used two fingers on a angle about 3 in. deep.

My female has been in the bucket since Sunday and just started to dig today. I have grapevine that goes around the inside of the bucket thats where she slept last night.

When my females are gravid or ready to lay they avoid the heat/uv lamps they stay in the shadows and when they do go to the lamps its a short visit.
