eating is slowing down....normal??

My veiled is around 6-7 months old and I have noticed that his eating has slowed down considerably. A month ago, he was eating about 5-8 crickets a day and now I would say that is down to 2 a day. I never see him eating anymore. I did move the location of his food in the cage, could this cause a momentary slow down in eating. He occasionally munches on a dracena and pothos but this has also slowed. He seems to be acting normal, walks around and loves his heat lamp and UVA/B lamp. He is about 8 inches head to hind legs.

Also I have been manually misting his cage about 3 times a day. I am an accountant and now am starting to work long hours. Are there any misting systems that are reasonable in price and nice. Thanks!

My 6 month old panther has also slowed down his eating considerably as well. He seems to be acting normal as well. I think its because of the winter weather mostly and maybe shedding. But as for the mister. The only thing that can do the job is Habba Mist by Zoo-Med. Its and auto mister and has 1, 3, 6, 12. hour intervals with with 15, 30, 45, and 60 second duration settings. Seems to work fine for right now since i work 8 to 5 weekly. As for reasonably priced its about 60$ Hope this helps.

I prefer drippers to misters myself
Yes, eating will slow down as the chameleon gets older. But even as adults they will usually eat a few bugs each day (many people choose to feed every other day).
If you're interested, check my blog to see what my adult panthers eat.

Sandra, How do you ketch your access water from your driper system. I had a driper but during the day while i was gone in seemed to overflow the plant i had it dripping into. Do you or have you ever had this problem?

2 crickets a day does not sound like enough for a 6 to 7 month old male veiled. At that age mine would eat 15 a day. Jann
