so one of my females is/was about to lay and something i guess was wrong with her sand. so i came home from pole vaulting (in which its my first year and i made indoor state qualifications for tomorrow!!! :) ) anyways im looking for her and in the process i am starting to see random eggs all ove the place?!! like it seriously was an Easter egg hunt!! in the cricket food dish in the plants on the leaves two in the sand on news paper on a branch it looked like a little kids Easter
idk what to think it was kinda funn looking for them tho
just thought i share

haha i have heard something like that happen...... except it was a melleri laying her eggs in her food dish

oh and by the way congrats on the pole vaulting qualification

The eggs all over the place happens ocassionaly, but there may be a reason that she did not use her laying bin, and she may still have eggs, and that may end up in her being eggbound and die. Are these the females that are housed together still? Will this make you separate them?

I had the same thing happen. I still have 9 out of the 20 or so that she laid on the bottom of her cage and they are looking good. It was either the laying bin or the medium. I changed both so not really certain what she did not like about it. the 2nd clutch was laid and buried properly. This was her first time laying eggs.

My Oustie female did this twice with her first 2 clutches. I watched you drop eggs everywhere. The final clutch she buried, but they ended up being infertile. I am presently waiting on the first 2 clutches to hatch (anytime now).

they are together still and she laid she just wanted new sand the girls love eachother when Sage laid last night Ginger stayed on the branch beside her and kept a over her and SAGE didnt mind and when SAGE came up GINGER was so cute she tried getting the sand off SAGE they are odd together but they do everything together an share perfectly people say to seperate them but they seem perfecty fine they are about two years old and have lived together for that long as i have been told when i purchased them :)

and i tied for 6th (with my teammate) out of 25 vaulters and I have only vaulted for 12 days in my life!!!
