Drainage?

I got a 2x2x4 screen cage for my new female baby panther chameleon coming later this week. I want to put a 5 gallon bucket on the bottom and use the little wood bottom that came with the cage on top of the bucket so the cage isn't to big for her. My only question would be how would I get the water to slide off the bottom board into the bucket below. I can drill a hole in it but I would need a funnel type of thing to get the water in the bucket. Also I have a mistking so how can I get that to not spray the walls and carpet Round it?

You have to prop the cage on something drill a hole on the floor pan and the. Use a funnel or something to channel the water to the bucket.

I used the drain pan from LLL and used a drain system similar to a thread on here. I'll look for the thread and post the link.

Ok thank you. What about the mistking spraying outside the cage!

Adjust the nozzles so that it does not spray out.
If placed in the corner of a 2x2x4, it can be angled towards the center, and there will be no over-spray.
You can buy little regulator valves(from MK and at hardware stores) that regulate how much water pressure is in the line, these will control the amount of mist as well.

You can see how I have two nozzles in the left side corners of my 2x2x4 here:

There is no over-spray to the outside of the cage, and just the left side gets wet. The right side stays completely dry.

Play with the nozzles and youll get it;)
It helps to have foliage blocking the spray though.

k completely off topic but how the hell do you use a tea strainer for a fecal exam???

I have a 2x2x4 cage with a 4 inch hole in the bottom and no funnel and it dumps straight into a 3 gallon bucket below no problems.
